Balloon Printing

Sep 2010 Balloon printing is an outstanding way to get your company message across – anywhere, anytime and anyhow. Print company logos, new product details and promotional slogans on a variety of balloon finishes, all with different effects and applications. Foil balloons can be custom designed and screen printed, for long lasting product and store decoration, promotional displays or even extra special delivery packaging; whilst latex balloons can hold a variety of slogans, logos and messages according to requirements.

All printed balloons need accessories, in order to package and display them properly. Your balloon printing wholesaler will be able to supply not only the printed article, but the sticks, holders, ribbons, weights and suction cups they need to be finished correctly. You can also use printed balloons as product furnishing, with the aid of specially constructed balloon stands: typically completed as “trees” or arches, these offer a unique way to showcase a new item in a product line, or herald a noteworthy company initiative. Don’t overlook the possibilities printed balloons can give for set decoration, either – if you’re regularly heading out to trade fairs, or often run promotions involving temporary desks in shopping centres, car parks and supermarkets then balloon printing could be that extra detail you’re currently missing.

Printed balloons work great as giveaway items – particularly from the desks or stalls we’ve just mentioned. Hand out balloons to the children of potential sign-ups to your product or service: even if your immediate target isn’t interested, the wandering balloon will attract the attention of hundreds of other potential customers to your stand.

Printing is done in controlled factory conditions: screen printing the two halves of a foil balloon for long lasting helium options; and laser printing inflated latex for the standard, or classic type of promotional balloon. Once the balloon printing is completed, the latex is deflated and dried for shipping.

Laser printing allows two specific types of balloon decoration. The standard printing procedure gives you a combination of image and print on two sides of a balloon, with a maximum of five colours to a design. A more complex “round” printing procedure, also using laser printing, can deliver up to four designs of a single colour on a balloon. Minimum order quantities apply in both cases: 250, for single colour prints, and 1,000 for multiple colour prints.

The balloon printing technology is such that all images are reproduced with crystal clarity – even highly complex ones. Remember, though – too complex means difficult to read, and that’s the last thing you want when you’re trying to get a unique message across to a potential customer.
