Printed Balloons
What are the things you need to know when ordering printed balloons? First up, don’t forget that the balloons you are printing on are coloured. That means they could affect the final look of your message or logo. If you print yellow on blue, for example, or blue on yellow, you could run the risk of having a finished result that looks green. Always take care to select the right coloured balloons for your company logo or message. Good balloon printers use high fidelity inks that can retain their proper colours in almost any combination – but, being bespoke, there are some examples where this may not work. If in doubt, discuss this with your supplier or a good printed balloons wholesaler before making an order.
Where are you going to “place” the balloons? Pretty much every use for a printed balloon requires an accessory – it could be a stick, or a valve, or just a weighted ribbon, but you’re rarely going to be giving away, or displaying, a balloon on its own. Again, your wholesaler will advise you on the right accessories for the right uses: but be aware that you’re going to need some accessories for almost every situation. Choosing the wrong accessories for your printed balloons is worse than not have any balloons in the first place, so take good care.
What results do you want from your balloons? Is this a simple customer awareness campaign (in which case, standard latex balloon printing will do the most professional job) – or are you looking to make a lasting statement? Foil balloons last a lot longer than latex ones, so they are much more suitable for events like podium decoration, point of sale decoration and trade fair situations. Perversely, there are some venue decoration settings in which foil, though longer lasting, may not be the right choice: and your printed balloons will look better in one of the higher quality latex finishes. Under lights the foil of a helium balloon may simply reflect the lights and spoil the effect required.
Make sure your artwork is clear, striking and easy to read. There’s no point in spending money on a visual promotion if the design for it obscures the message. If you need help (it can be difficult to design a slogan or logo that “works” well on a balloon, if you’ve never done it before), a good balloon printing wholesaler will be able to provide expert advice and assistance. Choose simple colours, clear images and snappy text – and your printed balloons will look, and work, brilliantly. Happy advertising!
