“Gotca Oscar” James Clephan, Production Director at B-Loony for 20 years, recently received an award from the Government’s Manufacturing Advisory Service.

B-Loony has been implementing Lean Manufacturing systems over the last two years. The MAS’ own description is that “Lean extends far beyond its historical roots in the automotive industry and is feasible in almost every manufacturing business. Lean is not a one-off procedure, rather a continuous journey that starts with the customer. Manufacturers who are lean are able to increase their profitability by satisfying the end customer and reducing operational costs”.
James said that the programme provided “motivation and inspiration to sustain improvements without too much techno-speak”.
